Introduction by Doug Hammett
AnatomyXChange documents Brad’s interpretation of an art form first seen at Burning Man and taken to a whole new level during the Covid19 pandemic. Stuffed animals from a variety of thrift stores, Ikea, CVS, etc. were no longer safe. Heads and limbs were detached from their bodies, then joined together with others to create new colorful lifeforms. This book explores these precarious creatures and playfully names their newly discovered species classification.
Like many discoveries around the world, a long scientific name is attached to these evolving species, revealing the many origins. The AnatomyXChange creatures are similar to our favorite family pets, a mix of different breeds. A Labrador and Poodle combined create a Labradoodle or a Cocker Spaniel and Poodle become a Cockapoo. Brad has also added pronunciation in red to help one sound like a scientist when addressing these fine specimens.
