Permission to Grumble!
“Permission to Grumble!” began as 14 paintings created in Marrakesh, Morocco. Combining travel with art-making taps me into the energy of the land each time. This historical location, filled with dessert magic, inspired a dreamlike painting style comprised of a limited palette and collage. This series of works inspired a poetic writing style different from my other illustrated books. I am proud to say, this is my first of a series of new books of poetry.
